If you visit this area, and we hope you do, one of the best ways to see the Cedar Keys is via Air with local pilot/tour guide Marvin Franks.

The birds have some of the best views of the surrounding islands and the beauty Mother Ocean carves into the ocean floor is something that has to be seen to be believed.

Paddling The Cedar Keys is another great way to see the area or taking one of the Island Boat Tours gives one a great perspective and allows you to get close to nature.

But you can see from these shots we captured while cruising 1000' above the Cedar Keys with Marvin Franks that from the air, this area is surrounded by water and is much smaller than you think when viewing it with your feet firmly planted on the ground.

Marvin is a knowledgeable guide and your time spent flying with him is like taking a small history lesson of the area.
