Cedar Key has been around for many, many generations.  It's gone through changes over the years, yet this small fishing village has been able to keep the developers away and has remained a hidden gem that many people have yet to discover when visiting Florida.

A few highlights of Cedar Key are Tony's Seafood which has won the award for the Best Clam Chowder in the World for 3 years in a row.  We also have the Black Dog Bar & Tables, which won the title of 2010 Best Pub in Florida as voted by the readers of the magazine Florida Monthly.

The Island Room Restaurant was ranked amongst the Top 500 Restaurants in the State of Florida in Florida Trend Magazine.

Cedar Key was named the USDA Rural Community for 2009.  Cedar Key was also voted "Best Weekend Getaway" in Florida Monthly Magazine's Best of Florida competition for 2009. Cedar Key also earned an honorable mention for "Best Sunset" in that same magazine for 2009.
